I received the bike as a gift. It was easy to set up and is smooth and quite. But I have two complaints. First I am 5'6" tall and I cannot adjust the seat height to accommodate my legs; it is just a little too short. I can't see how anyone 6'2" could possibly use this bike. Second, the reading for the calorie count is completely inaccurate and I can't get a pulse reading at all. I have to use my heart rate monitor to get an accurate reading. I plan to use the bike to rehab my knee and to get some cardio exercise between workouts at the gym so I think it will be fine for that but it would not be useful for more serious exercise.

Comments about Paradigm Exerpeutic 400XL Folding Recumbent Bike:

I haven't used it long enough to determine if the data it gives you is accurate (time of use is accurate), but I am very pleased with the bike's ease of use and LIGHTNESS (less than 50 lbs.) A family member needs a recumbent bike, and it works just fine. Such a relief to find a semi-recumbent bike that is so easy to move when necessary--and works!

Comments about Paradigm Exerpeutic 400XL Folding Recumbent Bike:

I took a long time to order this bike because I didn't want it to become a clothes hanger. I plan to ride it one-half hour everyday while I watch TV and so far feel it's as challenging as the stationary bikes I have used in a gym. It is quiet, sturdy, and compect, and you do get a challenging workout. You certainly work up a sweat and strengthen your leg and thigh muscles. I'm 5'7'' and the bike accommodates my long legs. I believe it would be suitable for folks up to 6 ft tall for sure. The seat and back are comforable, and the unit seems to be built well. I'm happy with it.
